This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with Digital leaders within the department and across government as part of the 17,000 strong Digital Data and Technology profession.
We want all DWP services to be usable, consistently designed and efficiently built. Our goal is to create a design system which represents the needs of teams across DWP.
DWP’s Design System will be a resource that can be used across the department and government. To provide styles, components and patterns that are accessible, high quality and consistent. By doing this, we can make it easier and quicker for teams to design and build services, and enable them to spend more time tackling bigger design challenges.
The team will work towards a single, federated design system, that makes it easy for teams to find, use and share the styles, components and patterns they need to design and build their service.

The salary for the Front End Developer role is up to £38,700p.a. Flexible staring pay may apply to this role.
The salary for the Senior Front End Developer role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £3,591p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
The salary for the Senior Interaction Designer role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £3,591p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
The salary for the Senior Content Designer role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £914p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
The salary for the Senior User Researcher role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £5,804p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
The salary for the Senior Software Engineer role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £5,496p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
The salary for the Senior Agile Delivery Manager role is up to £56,707p.a. An additional allowance of up to £981p.a may be payable based upon assessment of capability and skills.
In all cases the additional allowance is non-pensionable. The requirement to continue paying an additional allowance and the amount payable is subject to review at least annually.

All candidates who meet the required standard will undertake a single technical interview which may include a presentation (topic to be confirmed prior to interview) followed by an assessment to evaluate the Civil Service Competencies at level 4.
Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.

A reserve list will be held for a period of 6 months from which further appointments can be made.
